What applies when you book a stay at Curzútt

20 August 2026

Who we are

Ostello Curzútt is run by Fondazione Curzútt-San Barnárd, 6513 Monte Carasso, Ticino, Switzerland. Phone +41 91 835 57 30, email fondazione@curzutt.ch.

How booking works

The booking is concluded when payment succeeds and you receive the confirmation email with your reference number. Until then the accommodation is not held for you.

If the email does not arrive, the booking still stands: keep the reference number shown on screen and contact us.

We take bookings up to the maximum number of people and nights shown during the process. For larger groups or longer stays, write to us directly.

Prices and city tax

Prices are in Swiss francs and include VAT where due.

The municipal city tax is added to the total, calculated per person per night. You will find it listed separately in the summary before payment: the total you see when paying is the total you are charged.

Meals are optional and must be chosen when booking. They cannot be added or removed later, because we use them to plan the kitchen.

Payment

Payment is by credit or debit card through Stripe, at the time of booking. Card details never pass through our systems.

The booking is held for a limited time while you complete payment. If you do not finish within that window, the accommodation returns to availability.

Cancellation and refund

You can cancel from the "My booking" page, using your reference number and the email you booked with.

  • Up to 7 days before arrival: full refund.
  • Between 3 and 7 days before: 50% refund.
  • Within 3 days of arrival: no refund.

Refunds are credited to the same payment method within a few working days.

If you do not arrive and have not told us, the amount is not refunded.

Arrival and departure

Check-in 15:00 to 20:00. Check-out by 11:00.

If you expect to arrive later, call us on +41 91 835 57 30: Curzútt is reached by cable car from Monte Carasso and the service runs to limited hours.

The cable car is operated by a third party. We are not answerable for interruptions or changes to that service, but if you find yourself stuck, call us and we will work something out.

Identity document

Cantonal law obliges us to register guests. We ask for a valid identity document: you can upload it when booking or show it on arrival.

House rules

  • Quiet from 22:00: Curzútt is an inhabited historic hamlet.
  • No smoking inside the buildings.
  • Pets are not admitted.
  • In dormitories you share the room and bathroom with other guests.

Anyone causing serious disturbance or damage may be asked to leave without a refund.

Liability

We are answerable for harm caused by our fault, within the limits set by law. We are not answerable for valuables left unattended in shared areas or dormitories.

Curzútt sits at 612 metres in mountain terrain: outdoor activities nearby, including trails and the Tibetan bridge, are undertaken at your own risk.

Governing law

Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Bellinzona.
